Antone Mello

BRIDGEWATER. – The funeral of Antone Mello was held this morning from his late home, 267 Oak street, followed by a high mass of requiem at St. Thomas Aquinas church, celebrated by Rev. Percival J. Quill. Many relatives and friends were in attendance and there was a special flower car to convey the many floral tributes. The organist was Mrs. Wilfred Mason and the soloist Miss Rose Cassiani. Interment was in the family lot in old St. Thomas Aquinas cemetery where the committal service was conducted by Rev. John Doonan. Active bearers were six grandsons of the deceased: Joseph Rourke, Theodore Agritha, Ernest Mello, Joseph Mederos, Anthony and Manuel DiSilva.

John T. Herbert

The funeral of John T. Herbert of 574 Warren avenue was held Friday afternoon at the funeral home, 9 Chester avenue, Rev. George D. Hardman, rector of St. Paul's Episcopal church conducted the service. Many friends attended and there were lovely flowers. Interment

RECENT DEATHS

Rebecca Wootton.
The death of Rebecca, wife of Charles H. Wootton, occurred yesterday at the family residence, 13 Pinkham street, after an illness of a few days with the grip. She was 54 years of age. The funeral will be Thursday afternoon at the house at 2 o'clock.

Carrie G. Brady.
The death of Carrie G., wife of John W. Brady, occurred yesterday at her home, 47 Field street. She was 29 years of age and had been ill but a few days. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at the house at 8:30 and at St. Edward's church at 9 o'clock. The interment will be in Calvary cemetery.

Funeral of Ellen Perkins.
The funeral of Ellen, widow of Aaron Perkins, was held yesterday afternoon at her late residence, 1237 Warren avenue, at 1 o'clock and a large number of friends and relatives attended. Rev. Louis G. Hoeck of the Church of the New Jerusalem officiated and solos were rendered by Mrs. Alice Wade Laird. There was a profusion of beautiful floral remembrances. The body was taken to Bridgewater for interment.

Lawrence Cleare.
Word was received yesterday of the death of Lawrence Cleare, a former resident of Bridgewater, in New York. About seven years ago he and his brother conducted a dry goods store in this city. At one time he was head buyer for Jordan, Marsh & Co. in Boston. The funeral was held to-day at St. Augustine's church in Boston.
Three sisters survive him and reside in this town: Mary, Annie and Nellie.

Mrs. Anna Krauchunas

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Krauchunas, formerly Urbanowicz, wife of the late Stanislaw Krauchunas, of 129 Sawtell avenue were held at the funeral home, 789 North Main street, Saturday afternoon. Rev. Gotthard E. Burton, pastor of Gethsemane Lutheran church, officiated. Burial followed in the family lot in Melrose cemetery where committal services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Burton. An extra car was required for the many floral tributes.

The funeral of Mrs. (Allegro) Capolongo, 121 Jacob street, was held this morning at 8 from the funeral home, 419 Main street. A high mass of requiem was celebrated in St. Colman's church at 9 A. M. with Rev. John Foley, CSC, celebrant. Interment was in Calvary cemetery where committal prayers were said by Rev. John Morrisey. Organist was Mrs. Anna Reardon and soloists, Mrs. Mary McCarthy and Mrs. Ann Munro. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends and many flowers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Durfee, 183 North Elm street, West Bridgewater, were held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the funeral home, 309 Main street, Brockton. Rev. Dennis J. Donahue

NORTH EASTON. – There was a large attendance of relatives and friends at the funeral of Dennis J. Donahue, husband of the late Josephine (Barrett) Donahue, formerly of Lincolm streeet, held this morning at 8:30 from the funeral home, 9 Chester avenue, Brockton. A high mass of requiem was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception church at 9 A. M. with Rev. John F.Casey, celebrant, and he also said prayers at the grave in Immaculate Conception cemetery. Mrs. Patrick Readdy was in charge of music and soloist was Mrs. Julia Spillane. Bearers were four nephews, Everett, Daniel T., George F., and Charles J. Adams. There was an abundance of floral tributes.

Joseph A. Dion

ABINGTON –  Funeral services were held for Joseph A. Dion at his late residence, High street, yesterday morning followed by a high mass of requiem at St. Bridget's church with Rev. Charles E. Riley, celebrant. Miss Helen Lydon was organist and soloist was Mrs. Leo Provost and Mrs. William Caruso.

Interment was in St. Patrick's cemetery, Rockland, with prayers at the grave by Rev. James Hamilton.

Arthur W. Bourne

WHITMAN - Funeral services for Arthur W. Bourne of Alden street, formerly of Hanson, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Hanson Baptist church where he had been a deacon for more than 50 years, with Rev. L. Stanley Manierre conducting. Appropriate organ music was played by Mrs. W. C. Vokey. Relatives and friends were in attendance and there were many flowers. Interment was in Fern Hill cemetery with Rev. Mr. Manierre conducting the committal service. Bearers were Ray Peterson, Merton Wood, John B. Pennini and George Morgan of the Knights of Pythias. On Tuesday evening at the funeral chapel, 532 Washington street, Plymouth Rock Lodge K of P member under direction of Chancellor Com. Gunnar Palm with Joseph A. Vaughan as prelate conducted their service. Mr. Bourne was a member of the order for 50 years and held a 50-year certificate which was presented him three years ago.

Constantinos Trent

The funeral of Constantinos S. Trent, 12 Waverly street, was held Wednesday afternoon with prayers at the funeral home, 9 Chester avenue, followed by a service at the Greek Orthodox church where Rev. Constantine Chrysanthos conducted the service. Many attended and an extra car was required to take the floral tributes to the grave in Melrose cemetery. Members of the Greek Ahepa Club acted as bearers including Charles Boyantis, Asterios Bloumbas, James Zatzos and John Dayos.

Mrs. Eugenia Jacoby

SOUTH EASTON.–Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home, 38 Center street, North Easton, for Mrs. Eugenia (Serebriakov) Jacoby. Rev. Hubert Almquist of the Lebanon Lutheran church officiated. There was a profusion of beautiful floral tributes. Cremation was at the Newton crematory.

Harry J. Murray

WHITMAN. - Funeral services for Harry J. Murray of 627 Temple street were held Tuesday from the funeral home, 158 Warren avenue, followed by funeral mass in the Church of the Holy Ghost at 9 with Rev. James P. Byrne as celebrant. Mrs. Gertrude Gilberti presided at the organ and the soloists were Mary Blanchard Sweeney and Amedeo Gilberti. Many relatives and friends were in attendance and an extra car was necessary to convey the many flowers to Melrose cemetery, Brockton, where interment took place. The bears were Mr. Murray's six sons, Warren C., Harry W., Albert F., Alton K., Sherod C., and Stanley K. Murray.

Miss Alice M. Coburn

The funeral of Miss Alice M. Coburn, who died Saturday, was held Tuesday afternoon in Belmont with interment following in Melrose cemetery, Brockton. Rev. Robert Wood Coe, DD, former minister of South Congregational church, officiated. Miss Coburn lived in Brockton for many years before she moved to Cambridge and later to Belmont. She is survived by a niece, Miss Beatrice Coburn, with whom she lived, and a nephew, Earl Coburn of Hingham.

Sabatino DiTacchio

There was a large attendance at the funeral of Sabatino DiTacchio, 69 Bay street, held this morning from the funeral home at 419 Main street. A solemn high mass of requiem was celebrated in St. Colman's church, with Rev. Nino Maritano, SJ. celebrant; Rev. William Morrissey, deacon; Rev. William Donovan, sub-deacon. Mrs. Anna Reardon was organist. Interment was in Calvary cemetery, were committal prayers were said by Fr. Maritano. The floral tributes required two extra cars for conveyance to the cemetery.

Edward F. Pulsifer, Sr.

AVON - Funeral services for Edward F. Pulsifer, Sr., who died on Sunday, were held Wednesday morning from the Hurley Funeral Home at 108 North Main St., this town, followed by *---Text Illegible---* Mass of Requiem in St. *---Text Illegible---* Church, celebrated by Rev. Joseph McDermott, assistant. The Mass was attended by a number of relatives and friends and an extra car was needed for the floral tributes. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Boston, where prayers were said at the grave. Bearers included James Galvin, Edward Galvin, and Francis Galvin, all of Boston, and James Geary, William A. Geary, Jr., and William A. Geary, Sr., all of Avon. The deceased was a retired Boston telephone worker.

The funeral of Francis E. Sullivan, 53 Clara Rd., was held from the Hickey Funeral Home, 403 Main St. A Solemn High Mass of Requiem was sung in St. Colman's Church by Rev. John Mark Hannon, celebrant, Rev. Richard O'Donovan, deacon, and Rev. Fr. Casmir, SA subdeacon. Prayers at the graveside in Calvary Cemetery were said by Fr. Hannon and Fr. O'Donovan. Mrs. Anna Reardon was at the organ. An extra car was required for floral tributes. Bearers were Jerome McDonald, Harold Wiggin, Robert White, Frank Massey, Kevin Corey, and Maurice Flaunders.

The funeral service for Mrs. Alice (Haskins) Sabean, wife of Lorimer L. Sabean, formerly of Green St., who died in a nursing home in Plymouth, was conducted Wednesday in the Sampson Home, 309 Main St. Rev. John Estes of the Congregational Church in Duxbury, officiated. Interment was in Melrose Cemetery.

Edythe G. Hodge

The funeral service of Edythe G. Hodge, formerly of 7 Main St., who died Saturday, was conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Anderton Funeral Home, 609 Washington St., Whitman, with Russell Lockwood, minister of the Universalist Unitarian Church, officiating. Interment followed in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Rachel Kredenser

Mrs. Moses Strock, 13 Fern avenue, has returned from Brookline where she observed memorial week for her mother, Mrs. Rachek Kredenser of Brookline, who died Nov. 11 at the age of 73 after a short illness. Besides Mrs. Strock, she is survived by six other children, all of Greater Boston, and 12 grandchildren. She was a frequent visitor in Brockton and had a number of friends here.

Auxiliary Rites

Members of the American Legion Aux., will conduct rites in the funeral home, 403 Main street, Wednesday night at 7:30 for Mrs. Julia (McSweeney) Dineen, wife of Cornelius Dineen, 26 Blaine street. Pres. Mrs. Freda Jones will be in charge. The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 8:15 from the funeral home. A solemn high mass of requiem will be sung in St. Margaret's church at 9 o'clock followed by interment in Calvary cemetery.
