Mrs. H. Earle Estes

WHITMAN. - Mrs. Myrtle E. Estes, wife of H. Earle Estes of Fullerton avenue, died Friday afternoon at the Brockton Hospital where she was taken Wednesday for treatment. Mrs. Estes had been ill for the past year but had failed rapidly the past few days. She was born in Spring Hill, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Thomas and Ada (Peers) Bentcliff, and had been a resident of this town for more than 45 years, where she was very well known and had a host of friends. Before her illness she was associated with husband conducting a variety store on South avenue. She was a member of the Baptist church and also of the former Philathea class. 
Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Donald Lindsay; one sister, Mrs. Rita Zeller; one brother, Melvin P. Bentcliff; three grandchildren, also nieces and nephews, all of Whitman. 
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 o'clock at the funeral chapel 532 Washington street and interment will be in Colebrook cemetery.
