Tanya M. Dumas, 20, of Middleboro, employed at Shaw's Supermarket in Carver

MIDDLEBORO - Tanya M. Dumas, 20, of Middleboro, formerly of East Bridgewater, died Thursday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness.

Born in Brockton, raised in East Bridgewater and Middleboro, a daughter of James C. Dumas of Halifax and Loris S. (Demers) (Dumas) Godfrey of Middleboro, she was a graduate of Middleboro High School.

Miss Dumas was employed as a deli clerk with Shaw's Supermarket in Carver for five years.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, James C. Dumas Jr. of Halifax and Kaitlynne Dumas and John C. Godfrey II, both of Middleboro; her grandparents, James Demers of Middleboro and Frances Dumas of East Bridgewater; her stepfather, John C. Godfrey; her stepmother, Christina Dumas; her boyfriend, Scott Roberts Jr. of Carver and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m Tuesday in the First Lutheran Church, Main Street, Brockton. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Arrangements are by Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater.
