Katheryn Onulak, 96, formerly of Halifax

WEST BRIDGEWATER - Katheryn (Lazorko) Onulak, 96, wife of the late Joseph Onulak, formerly of Halifax, died Saturday at Goddard Memorial Hospital, Stoughton, after being stricken ill at her home.

Born in Austria, daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Biber) Lazorko, she came to this country at the age of 16 and lived for several years in Boston. 

Mrs. Onulak and her late husband operated a dairy farm in Halifax for 50 years. After his death she made her home in West Bridgewater with her daughter for 29 years. She was a member of St. Andrew's Ukranian Orthodox Church in Jamaica Plain. 

She leaves two daughters, Stephanie Homan of Springfield and June A. Carveth of West Bridgewater; a brother, Theodore Lazorko of Russia; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 8 a.m. Tuesday in the Robert L. Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St. South Easton. The Rev. Andriv Partykevich of St. Andrew's Ukranian Orthodox Church will officiate.
