Robert C. Burke

ROCKLAND.-Robert C. Burke, 490 Forest street died Sunday after an illness of several weeks. He was born in Boston, the son of the late Charles G. and Elizabeth (Donnelly) Burke and had resided in Rockland for the past 20 years.

Until his retirement several years ago he was employed as a chauffer for the public works department in Boston. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, Church of the Holy Family.

He is survived by a brother, George M Burke, Rockland; three nephews, Rev. Charles E. Burke, SJ. Cranwell Preparatory school, Lenox; George A. Burke, Rockland; Francis V. Burke, Lawrence Harbor, N. J.; and a niece, Sister Georgeine, CSJ, Newton.

The funeral will be held from an East Water street funeral home, Wednesday morning at 9:15 and will be followed by a high mass of requiem in the Church of the Holy Family at 10. Interment will be in Holy Family cemetery.
