Tanya M. Dumas, 20, of Middleboro, employed at Shaw's Supermarket in Carver
MIDDLEBORO - Tanya M. Dumas, 20, of Middleboro, formerly of East Bridgewater, died Thursday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness.
Born in Brockton, raised in East Bridgewater and Middleboro, a daughter of James C. Dumas of Halifax and Loris S. (Demers) (Dumas) Godfrey of Middleboro, she was a graduate of Middleboro High School.
Miss Dumas was employed as a deli clerk with Shaw's Supermarket in Carver for five years.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, James C. Dumas Jr. of Halifax and Kaitlynne Dumas and John C. Godfrey II, both of Middleboro; her grandparents, James Demers of Middleboro and Frances Dumas of East Bridgewater; her stepfather, John C. Godfrey; her stepmother, Christina Dumas; her boyfriend, Scott Roberts Jr. of Carver and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m Tuesday in the First Lutheran Church, Main Street, Brockton. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Arrangements are by Wales-Prophett Funeral Home, 35 Spring St., East Bridgewater.

Bea Zuckerman, 86, former resident of Brockton
PHEONIX, Ariz. - Bea (Baron) Zuckerman, 86, formerly of Brockton, Mass., died Feb. 6 at her home in Pheonix.
Born in Fall River, Mass., she was a daughter of the late Saul and Ida Baron. Mrs. Zuckerman was a graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School. She had lived in Brockton before moving to Arizona in 1970.
Mrs. Zuckerman was Girl Scout leader, a member of the Sisterhoods of Congregation Agudas Achim and Temple Israel. She was a member and past president of Hadassah and volunteered with many organizations.
She is survived by three daughters, Lynda Nelson of Berlin, Mass., Judi Chaskes of Brockton and Elaine Nelson of Mesa; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Thompson of Monroe, Mich. She was also the sister of the late Edna Gabar and Oscar Baron.
Services were held in Scottsdale.

ZUCKERMAN - Bea (Baron), 86, of Pheonix, Ariz., formerly of Brockton, Feb 6, 2005, mother of Lynda (Charles) Nelson of Berlin, Judi Chaskes of Brockton and Elaine (Richard) Nelson of Mesa, Ariz.; grandmother of David Nelson of Princeton, Glenn (Barbara) Nelson of Berlin, Sarah Nelson of Bangor, Maine, Daniel (Laurie) Chaskes of Braintree, Jennifer Chaskes Johnson of Mesa, Ariz., Rachel Nelson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Abigail Nelson of Mesa, Ariz., and the late Joseph Nelson; great-grandmother of Haley and Noah Nelson and Joshua and Benjamin Chaskes; sister of Doris Thompson of Monroe, Mich., and the late Edna Gabar and Oscar Baron.
Services were held in Scottsdale, Ariz. Donations in her memory may be made to the National Council of Jewish Women, 53 W 23rd

Jerard J. Gervais, 83, of Raynham, World War II veteran
RAYNHAM - Jerard J. Gervais, 83, of Raynham died Wednesday evening at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Lucienne (Dube) Gervais.
Born on June 18, 1921, raised and educated in Plainville, Conn., he was a son of the late Ovila and Reine (Langevin) Gervais.
Mr. Gervais was employed as a steam engineer on various ships and was also employed by American Brass in Connecticut.
A veteran in World War II, he served in the Merchant Marine.
In 1969, Mr. Gervais bought a dairy farm in East Fairfield, Vt., and operated it until 1974.
He is survived by two sons, Jerard F. Gervais of Battleground, Wash., and Mark Gervais of Watertown; a brother, Joseph Gervais of Connecticut; a sister, Jeanne Tirendi of Kansas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. His funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Robert J. Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington St., Easton, followed by a Mass at 10 in St. Ann's Church, Raynham.

Paul J. Stefanik, 57, resident of Taunton, former city councilman
STEFANIK – In Providence, R.I., unexpectedly, March 9, 2005, Paul J., son of the late Walte and Adella (Mazgay) Stefanik of Taunton; father of Paul Stefanik of Taunton and Lisa A. Stefanik of St. Petersburg, Fla.; brother and brother-in-law of Walter J. and Nancy D. Stefanik of Taunton; uncle of Brian P. Stefanik, Debra J. Stefanik and Denise J. Paiva, all of Taunton; great-uncle of Troy Paiva of Taunton.
Funeral from the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Monday, March 14, at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial in the Holy Rosary Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. TAUNTON – Paul J. Stefanik, 57, of Taunton, died Wednesday while working in Providence.
Born in Taunton, he was a son of the late Walter and Adella (Mazgay) Stefanik.
Mr. Stefanik was educated in Taunton and was employed as a truck driver for Mobile Mini, Inc. in Brockton.
He had previously been employed as a truck driver for several area trucking firms.
Mr. Stefanik formerly owned and operated the Stefanik Oil Co. and the Cozy Cab Co.
He served as a Taunton city councilman in 1984 and 1985 and was a former member of the Polish-American Citizens Club.
Mr. Stefanik was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church.
He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed gardening and flea markets.
He is survived by one son, Paul Stefanik of Taunton; one daughter, Lisa A. Stefanik of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother, Walter Stefanik of Taunton and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Monday from Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay St., Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 in Holy Rosary Church. Interment will be private.
