Joseph R. Hallin

Joseph Reinhold Hallin, husband of Levina (Backstrom) Hallin, of 7 Greenwood road, died to-day at his home after being in failing health the past 14 years. He had made Brockton his home the past 38 years and was employed as a bottom filler at the Geo. E. Keith Co. for many years, retiring in 1932. he was born in Oreboro, Sweden, the son of August and Veda (Ekholm) Hallin.

Besides his wife he is survived by three living sons, Vincent J. Hallin, Milton Hallin, and Elmer Hallin, all of this city, and one daughter, Miss Mildred Hallin of this city. One son, Kenneth Hallin, lost his life in the service of his country in April, 1944. There are also two brothers  in this city and one sister, Harry Hallin, Arthur Hallin, and Beda Peterson; also one brother and two sisters in Sweden. He was a member of the Liberty Lodge, SP of A, and the Trinity Baptist church.

JOHNSON - Suddenly, in this city, March 11, Mrs. Bertha E. (Pauley) Johnson, wife of Hjalmar E. Johnson, 17 First street, aged 53 years.

Funeral services will be held from the Dahlborg Funeral Home, 647 Main street, Wednesday at 3:30. Interment will be in Melrose cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home, 2-5 and 7-10 P. M. on Tuesday.

BRENNER - In Plymouth, March 11, Joseph Brenner, beloved husband of Mary (Muthig) Brenner.

On Thursday, March 14, funeral from his late residence, 75 Cherry street, at 8:15 o'clock. At 9 o'clock a high mass of requiem will be sung for the repose of his soul at St. Mary's church.


CRONIN - In Boston, March 11, Cornelius Cronin, husband of Catherine (Cronin) Cronin, 585 North Montello street.

Reposing at his late residence until 8:15 A. M. Thursday. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Solemn high mass of requiem at St. Edward's church Thursday at 9 A. M. Interment in Calvary cemetery. Past member of the Brockton court, MCOF.
