CANTON - Joseph F. Jones, 89, husband of Julia K. (Sebula) Jones of Turnpike Street, died Thursday in a local nursing home following a short illness.
Born in Rockland, he was educated in Brockton schools. Before moving to Canton 25 years ago he lived in Brighton.
He was a shoe salesman for 40 years for the Styles Shoe Co., retiring 20 years ago.
In addition to his widow he is survived by a sister-in-law, Sally Sebula of Lawrence; a brother-in-law, Frederick Sebula of Andover; a cousin, Mrs. John Riordan of New Hampshire.
The funeral was held today from the Joseph P. Roache Home for Funerals, 210 Sherman St., Canton, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Gerard Majella Church, Washington Street, Canton, at 9 a.m. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton.
